Gabrisnote® "70 Years of the Trollbilen" 2026

The ‘Trollbilen’ Gabrisnote® depicts a small car manufactured between 1956 and 1958 by Troll Plastik & Bilindustri in the Norwegian town of Lunde. It was one of the few attempts at car manufacturing in Norway, and only five were ever produced. The Gabrisnote® is part of a wider project that aims to create a more extensive series reflecting the rich history and culture of Norway and the whole of Scandinavia. It comes from a test series of Gabrisnote® that we, as a publishing house, prepared for clients as a sample. This ‘test’ series therefore, understandably, has a very limited print run. It is an exploration of compositions, themes and possible uses of Gabrisnote® as a medium straddling the line between ‘souvenir’ and ‘art’ for local museums and other cultural institutions.
